Behavioral psychologist and clinical systems leader slightly obsessed with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

The dialectical philosophy and behavioral skills – for regulating emotion, tolerating discomfort, focusing attention, and effectively communicating – help people close the gap between the life they’re living and the life they’re wanting. They help people experience a life worth living.

I’ve spent my career helping people change their behavior when everything in their nervous system is pushing them in the opposite direction.

That’s motivated my belief that behavioral psychology offers tools that are too valuable to remain confined to therapy.

Dancing Between explores how to navigate the messy space between accepting reality and pursuing change.

I’m endlessly curious, perfectly flawed, and forever thinking about how we can do better at being human – skillfully, nonjudgmentally, and scientifically. If that sounds like your thing, subscribe for more.
